Bounce, Bounce: Beautyblender
FIRST THOUGHTS: “What’s the Beautyblender hype all about? Yeah, it’s pink and cute and also… very cute.”

This makeup sponge is been around for a while but I just recently caved in and bought one for myself. I was skeptical because it’s overpriced and there are a lot of similar products which promised the same results.
But lo and behold, a single test run may change your mind. I now understand the reason there’s a hype and that reason is because this the King (or Queen) of all sponges - well, at least for me. Phenomenal indeed.

Beautyblender is designed to help you achieve the most flawless finish and ease your makeup application - say good bye to brush streaks and finger marks. Run it under water and squeeze any excess out until it becomes full and plump. Use the round end for general application and the precise tip for areas like sides of the nose and under the eyes in stippling motion until the product is blended. The pink sponge is durable and reusable, wash it regularly and let it dry in its original packaging. You should get months, if not years, of usage out of them.

The downside is that Beautyblender is expensive for just a piece of sponge material. $25.95 for two sponges is a bit ridiculous. And also, I am having hard time cleaning it. Well, not really that hard but it takes ages to clean. I should have bought the cleanser, too.
I haven’t tried any of its cheaper counterparts, but I’d rather own a real LV bag than a fake one, so if you’re wondering if I’ll ever invest in an “alternative” to compare, there’s your answer.
