Think Pink: Beauty Cosmetics Pink Brush Set

FIRST THOUGHTS: “Whoever invented pink brushes, 14344!”

I am sure you know how much I adore the color pink… I mean, look around, the theme and my choices of products are a pretty big hint. When I want something, I always ask or look if it also comes in my favorite color, and when it does CHA-CHING! Otherwise, I will have this mini conversation with myself saying “I need this” “Do I really need this?”. This happens especially on makeup tools because everyone uses black, so let me amaze you with my pink wands.

I am on my hunt for my first brush set when I came across Beauty Cosmetics’ website. I immediately saw 12 piece professional brush set in PINK, and I just had to buy it. I got this around summer of 2011, so i have been using my brush set for around eight months or so. My thoughts? Read on!

The twelve piece set comes with 12 face and eye brushes in a nice roll. It comes in either pink or black. I choose pink because you probably already know the reason.

The brush roll is decently made in pinkish-gray metallic synthetic leather. It can be easily cleaned with makeup wipes and has extra compartments that can hold a lot more than 12 brushes.

Powder Brush - a large, dense powder brush with a rounded top. I also found it to be a very nice size for my face.  I really like this for applying a setting powder over foundation.

Duo Fibre Brush - duo fiber meaning the white part has synthetic bristles and the black part has natural bristles. This brush isn’t as dense or compact as I would like for liquid foundation. So, this is my go to brush for cream blushes and highlighters.

Angled Contour Brush - this one is perfect for both blushes and bronzers. With its angled head, contouring or just applying blush is really simple.

Foundation Brush - a large, flat tapered foundation brush with synthetic bristles. This is the brush I use when applying liquid foundation or concealer on a large area. It does leave some streaky marks, you need to blend thoroughly.

Concealer Brush - a small rounded, tapered flat brush. It’s basically the same as the Foundation Brush, but in smaller form. I do like this brush for appyling concealer to the face, but nothing works like your ring finger for applying it to you undereye area.

Large Shader Brush - a soft and flat brush that is perfect for applying a wash of color to the lid.

Shader Brush - a very dense and fairly short brush that is super soft and my favorite one out of the eye brushes. It does the job of packing on color well with minimal fall out.

Angled Shader Brush - it is similar to the other shader brushes, but its angled shape allows easier blending. This brush can be used for the crease, applying color on the brow bone or use on the inner corner of the eye.

Blending Brush - a fluffy a tapered blending brush that allows you to soften lines and blend the colors so that they fade into one another. Not my favorite as it tends to poke me more over time.

Pencil Brushis best used for applying color to the lash line, or using it for precise crease-work. Plus it is small enough for my Asian Lids for blending.

Small Angled Brush - is a short, angled and stiff brush, which is perfect for filling in eyebrows or using with gel or creme products on the lash line. I think I found my HG eyeliner brush with this one.

Eyeliner Brush - is great for gel eyeliners but too big for my line preference. I do, however, love it for lips.

In our 8-month long relationship, I am still in love with my first brush set. It doesn’t gave me problems of shedding or bleeding even during the first few months. I would definitely highly recommend this, but when I checked the website, this is no longer available. :(

PRICE: around Php1,500-Php1,800 (sorry I can’t remember)
WHERE TO FIND: Beauty Cosmetics

What are your weapons for face enhancement?

Disclaimer: I know this Brush Set looks waaay too familiar, but before you continue judging me (some of you may think that it is a sin to buy makeup replicas), in all honesty, I didn’t know Sigma or Sedona Lace last summer. I just found out about them few months later. Plus, it has another brand behind it, so the better word is “DUPE”.☺
