While on my journey to permanent hair removal, I found an alternative in sugaring. And girl it was amazing! Sugaring has been used for thousands of years, historical records say Cleopatra was one of the first clients. Well, it sounds very reliable to me and so I was keen to give it a go.

A kit from Strip It comes in a pink paper bag inclusive of a wooden spatula, two long strips of reusable cloth and an instruction pamphlet. Made from a blend of all natural sugar and honey and free from artificial chemicals, Strip It is safe to use on the entire body. So natural it is edible!

Strip It is remarkably fuss free – just make sure your skin is clean and dry, grab your strips and spatula and you’re ready to do the deed. I was expecting a fair amount of pain as my experience with hot wax has been so-so but I was left shocked after pulling the cloth, it’s almost pain-free. The fact that Strip It barely registered on the pain factor means they are also ideal for use on more sensitive areas such as underarms and the bikini line.

If you’ve ever waxed before you’ve probably ended up with serious sticky residue that is hard impossible to get off. With Strip It, the formula is water soluble; a damp cloth can easily remove the excess sugar. Also, if you made a mistake by putting a wax in the wrong place, you can simply wipe it off. The fabric strips are reusable - very economical and really good for the environment.

Overall, I like the concept and the ease of use and thorough instructions. The product delivers and the price is very competitive too, I’d definitely recommend.
